How Trist works
For one thing, you won’t have to wear out any shoe leather finding a local bar or pub that exactly fits what you’re looking for. You simply click on Trist, sit back, and let the information on all those watering holes come to you. For example, there’s Lola’s Living Room, a bar three blocks away that you’ve been curious about. Trist tells you (in real time!) how many people are there, their age grouping, and their sex. In the case of Lola’s you see that the majority of people are in their 20s and 30s. This is good because that’s the age group you’re looking for. But then you discover that the ratio of males to females is 8 to 2. This is not what you’re looking for. You’d rather see it reversed. So, Lola’s is out, but Trist points you to Dave’s Den. The ratio of males to females at Dave’s is 4 to 6, much better than Lola’s. Unfortunately, Trist also points out that the age grouping is folks in their 40s and 50s. Since you’re not interested in hanging around with people your parents’ age, you deep-six Dave’s. Now, however, Trist indicates you might want to take a look at the Pamplona Bull, and at the Pamplona it all comes together. For one thing it’s only four blocks away. For another, the overwhelming majority of patrons are in their 20s and 30s. And finally, the ratio of males to females is 4 to 6. Remember, this info is coming to you in real time. Could anything be better? No way!
