In New York City there are thousands of bars, pubs, and watering holes, not to mention quite a few in your own area. But if you’re like most people, you tend to go where the scene, the people, and the drinks are familiar. There’s a problem with that, however. Do it enough and you’ll probably end up in a social rut. Why? Because it’s the same experience over-and-over-again. Yes it’s familiar, but it’s also boring. And as we know, boring is not good. Wouldn’t you like to find new local bars and pubs, meet new people (including some from the opposite sex), and have some real fun? Of course you would. But how do you find such venues without stopping at every bar or cocktail lounge in a ten block area to determine where the action is? You use an app called Trist. It’s new, it’s exciting, and it’s changing the way people of similar ages and interests get together, mingle, and have a great time.
How Trist works
For one thing, you won’t have to wear out any shoe leather finding a local bar or pub that exactly fits what you’re looking for. You simply click on Trist, sit back, and let the information on all those watering holes come to you. For example, there’s Lola’s Living Room, a bar three blocks away that you’ve been curious about. Trist tells you (in real time!) how many people are there, their age grouping, and their sex. In the case of Lola’s you see that the majority of people are in their 20s and 30s. This is good because that’s the age group you’re looking for. But then you discover that the ratio of males to females is 8 to 2. This is not what you’re looking for. You’d rather see it reversed. So, Lola’s is out, but Trist points you to Dave’s Den. The ratio of males to females at Dave’s is 4 to 6, much better than Lola’s. Unfortunately, Trist also points out that the age grouping is folks in their 40s and 50s. Since you’re not interested in hanging around with people your parents’ age, you deep-six Dave’s. Now, however, Trist indicates you might want to take a look at the Pamplona Bull, and at the Pamplona it all comes together. For one thing it’s only four blocks away. For another, the overwhelming majority of patrons are in their 20s and 30s. And finally, the ratio of males to females is 4 to 6. Remember, this info is coming to you in real time. Could anything be better? No way!
Forget the Saturday night blues
Or the blues of any other night of the week for that matter. Turn on Trist and find the venue that’s just right for you. No guess work, no tramping from one bar to another, no wasted time or effort. For local bars and restaurants, Trist is all you need. Isn’t technology wonderful!
